Reunion Success!

well, we did it!

i just wanted to thank everyone so much for coming to the reunion! for anyone who didn't come, i think you really missed out.

at first i was apprehensive because i wasn't sure people were going to show up. then i was worried that there wouldn't be enough food. then i thought people would come but would hold onto high school grudges and no one would talk to each other. as it turned out, we had a splendid turnout of 70 people, and people all seemed to have a good time interacting with each other!

i had a great time seeing everyone for the first time in 10 years, and i think things went off pretty much without a hitch. of course we still have tons of leftovers but at least no one went hungry.

thank you all again for making the night a success!

remember the photos will be posted on mytownhall.info later this week!

oh yeah also wanted to mention that i saw melissa savalonis at the football game on thursday (like every year! it's our tradition) and had a very fun night out bowling on friday night at bradley bowl. michelle (mlynick) peacock, her friend michelle, zack pozzi, and even chris bugaj made an appearance with his girlfriend kim. while we were there it became "GALACTIC BOWL" time, and the lights went out and black lights and disco balls and fun dance music started. great evening!

thanks to my mom and grandma for checking everyone in, and my dad for getting in everyone's face and taking the photos! i also want to thank susan's parents for letting us borrow their truck to deliver the iparty balloons and for watching madelyn for sue and dave.

Kristen & Susan,
Wanted to say thank you for all the work on the reunion. You really did do a great job on putting it all together. I'm sorry I wasn't able to help out as much as I had planned in the beginning and I'm glad you both understand. But have no fears, I will be helping with the 15 (I think we should try to do a reunion every 5 years until the 25 - that way we can all still see each other at shorter intervals rather than waiting 10 years between each reunion) and I will definitely help with the 20 year!

Everyone looked great and I'm so glad that you guys attended. There are some people I didn't get a chance to talk to and I'm sorry to those people, but we all had a fun time and I think that's the important thing. Like Jess said, I'm glad that there were no grudges held from high school. I wasn't always treated the best in high school and I know I wasn't the coolest person, but it was great to be able to hang out with everyone without feeling that stuff from high school resurfaced; I'm over all the high school stuff because we were teenagers then and I know that we're not the same people we were back then. I wanted to say thanks to everyone for making me feel comfortable enough to be myself without feeling like the past was going to come back and haunt me.

Matt, I hope your fiancee is ok after her car accident. Kevin & Amy, you two are so cute; I'm glad you found each other. Andrea, Ricky & Megan, what can I say? I've known you since elementary school and I'm always glad when there's a chance to get together with you guys! Tim, thanks for being my date and withstanding all that everyone said, although we're not dating :) Jess Tauro, Michelle, and Stacy it was really good to hang out with you guys again and catch up on what's been going on. Brian, congrats on your engagement; it was good to talk to you. Marcel, Emily, Dan & Megan, you kept up with a lot of the entertainment after the reunion; I don't think I've laughed that hard for that long in a long time. Christy, congratulations on your daughter. Tami, congrats on your engagement; it was great to talk to you and Christy at Emily & Dan's, I wish the night didn't have to end. Shannon & Darryl, congrats to you on your pregnancy. Dan W., Rob, Bill, & Andy, you guys were awesome when it came to having a good time - I think that applies to everyone! But I'm glad I got to talk to you. Jess Torrant, you were so much fun to talk to and watch dancing with Marcel - you two rocked on the dance floor (I've got pictures to prove it! :) I know I could just go on and on for hours telling you guys stuff you already know, so I'll stop. For those of you I didn't mention, I know you were there and I know I talked to some of you (some of you I didn't and again I apologize), I'm glad you all attended - it wouldn't have been the same without you there to join in the festivities. And for those of you who didn't make it, you missed a great time. You'll have to check out the website to see the pictures and how much fun we all had; be sure to go to the next one I'm sure it'll be just as much fun! Email me anytime.
